Cost to Sell - Your Financial Obligation
These are common estimated expenses that can be used as a guideline when selling your home:
- Solicitor's fees : $500-$800
- Disbursements: $300-$500, out of pocket expenses incurred by your solicitor (postage, certificates, photocopies etc)
- Real Estate commission plus GST: This amount is negotiated at the time of listing your property with your realtor
- Mortgage Discharge: fees and penalty (prior to listing, you should contact your bank or mortgage rep for an accurate amount)
- Payout of loans on chattels to be sold with the house ie- water heater
- Moving costs
